Fix Battery Drain Issue after June 2021 Update on Pixel Devices

The fix for this issue is that you need to downgrade your Pixel to the security patch of May 2021 or before. However, before you proceed ahead, there are a couple of things worth keeping in mind. First off, the process requires an unlocked bootloader. Doing so will wipe off all the data from your device and might nullify its warranty as well. So if that is all well and good, then install the Android SDK Platform Tools on your PC. After that, download the firmware for the month of May 2021 or before. Then flash it onto your device via Fastboot Commands. All these have been explained in our detailed guide, do refer to it: How to Downgrade Pixel Devices via Fastboot Commands. But if manually entering fastboot commands is not your cup of tea, then you may also try downgrading via the Android Flash Tool: How to Downgrade Pixel Devices via Android Flash Tool. No doubt this is quite a complicated fix and the risks/caveats associated with this method outweigh the benefits that you would accrue. So if you don’t wish to try out the aforementioned tweak, then your best bet will be to wait for the August 2021 update and hope that Google finally fixes the battery drain issue on the affected Pixel devices as a result of the June 2021 update.
