R8xxXXU1GVI3 update would brick your Galaxy Watch 4!
Numerous Galaxy Watch 4 users have voiced their concern that the R8xxXXU1GVI3 update is bricking their smartwatch. Everything remains well and good till the update is downloaded, but as soon as the watch is restarted to finish the update process, the watch gets permanently bricked. So if you are currently downloading this update, then make sure to cancel it right away. On the other hand, if you have already downloaded the update, then make sure not to restart your watch. Likewise, keep it sufficiently charged so that it doesn’t get turned off. However, if you have already installed the update and performed a reboot and are currently having a bricked watch, then your only last course of action is to get in touch with the Samsung support staff.
In South Korea, they are currently offering free repairs, though the same might not be said for other regions. On that note, we round off this post. Do note that this is a developing story and more updates will be added at regular intervals, so stay tuned! In the meantime, you are free to drop in your valuable opinions in the comments section.
